Applying to UK universities from overseas

Support for families outside the UK applying to UK universities, and for students applying to universities in the United States.

Applying to the UK from overseas

International students apply through UCAS like UK students, but face extra questions: whether their qualifications meet each course's entry requirements, which admissions tests they need and where they can sit them, how interviews will be held, and English language requirements.

Our consultants have worked with students and families in the UK, Hong Kong, China and elsewhere, and help each student plan around the requirements that apply to them.

  • Course and university choice, including how your qualifications are viewed
  • Admissions test preparation, and planning where and when to sit each test
  • The UCAS application and personal statement
  • Interview preparation, including online interviews

Applying to universities in the US

US applications work very differently from UCAS: a list of universities chosen for fit, the Common App or other platforms, personal essays and supplements, and recommendations.

Kevin Dupont, a former admissions officer for US universities, leads our support for US applications.

Applying to both

Some students apply to the UK and the US in the same year. The two systems ask for different things at different times, so we plan both in one timeline.
