About these terms
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These are the terms on which Deuce Education Ltd, trading as Quantum Pathways (company number 14197955, registered office The Cleeves, The Fooks, Horsley, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL6 0PA), provides university admissions consultancy and mentoring services. Every family receives them as a written agreement to sign before any work begins.
In these terms, the Client is the person or organisation who signs the agreement, the Student is the student named in it, and the Parentis the Student's parent or legal guardian. Where an education agent or partner organisation is the Client, the Parent also signs and is bound by the terms that refer to the Parent.
If you signed an agreement with us before 27 October 2026, the terms in that agreement continue to apply to it unless we both agree in writing to change them.
1. The services and sessions
1.1 Services. We will provide the university admissions consultancy and mentoring services set out in the Student's written proposal or Pathway Plan, tailored to the Student's needs.
1.2 Delivery. Sessions take place online on Microsoft Teams, unless we agree otherwise.
1.3 Prepaid sessions. Every session must be paid for before it takes place.
1.4 Additional sessions. You may buy additional sessions at any time, at our rates in force at the time. We will confirm the price in writing before you commit.
1.5 Student information. The Client and the Parent confirm that the information given about the Student is accurate and up to date, and will tell us promptly if it changes.
1.6 Expiry of sessions. Sessions must be used within 18 months of the date of payment, unless we agree otherwise in writing. We will remind you at least 60 days before any sessions expire. Sessions not used by the expiry date are forfeited.
1.7 Transfers. We may, at our discretion, allow unused sessions to be transferred to a sibling or another student. Requests must be made in writing and approved by us in advance.
2. Payment and cooling-off
2.1 Fees and payment schedule. The fee and payment schedule for the Student's programme are set out in your written proposal and agreement, inclusive of any applicable taxes. Where your programme is arranged through an education agent or partner organisation, payment is agreed between us and that organisation.
2.2 How to pay. Payment is by Flywire, by bank transfer (BACS) to the account on our invoice, or through the payment link on our Xero invoice.
2.3 Your right to cancel (cooling-off). You may cancel your agreement within 14 days of the date you sign it, for any reason, by emailing info@quantumpathways.co.uk or using our
cancellation form, which is also provided with your agreement.
2.4 Starting during the cooling-off period. By signing the agreement, you ask us to start the services straight away, during the 14-day cooling-off period. If you cancel within those 14 days, we will refund all fees received, less a proportionate amount for the sessions already delivered.
2.5 Refunds after the cooling-off period. After the cooling-off period, fees are non-refundable, except:
- where we are in material breach (clause 2.6); or
- where we end the agreement under clause 6.2.
Fees do not depend on the outcome of any university application.
2.6 Material breach by us. We are in material breach if:
- we do not provide sessions you have paid for, and do not offer a replacement within 30 days of your written request; or
- we do not provide the services with reasonable care and skill, and do not put this right within 14 days of your written notice.
In either case, we will refund the fees received for sessions not yet delivered.
3. Rescheduling, missed sessions and substitute consultants
3.1 Rescheduling with notice. You may reschedule a session without penalty if you give at least 48 hours' notice, subject to the consultant's availability.
3.2 Late changes and no-shows. If you give less than 48 hours' notice, we will try to reschedule but cannot guarantee it. If the Student does not attend without notice, it is a no-show. The consultant will try to contact the Student and wait 30 minutes; after that the session counts as delivered. If the Student joins within 30 minutes, the session goes ahead and ends at the scheduled time.
3.3 Grace allowance. Each Student has an allowance of one late change (less than 48 hours' notice) and one no-show without penalty. After that, a late change that cannot be rescheduled, or a no-show, counts as a delivered session and is deducted from the programme.
3.4 Changes by us. We may need to reschedule a session, sometimes at short notice. We will offer a new time as soon as possible, at no cost to you, and the session is not lost.
3.5 Substitute consultants. If a consultant is ill or unavailable, we will provide cover from a consultant of equivalent expertise and ability so that the Student's programme continues without interruption. Sessions with our Lead Consultant will only ever be covered by a Senior Consultant. We will tell you in advance of any change wherever we can. A substitution under this clause does not entitle you to a refund.
4. Materials, confidentiality, data and session recordings
4.1 Our materials. All materials, resources and strategies we provide remain our intellectual property. They are for the Student's personal, non-commercial use only and may not be shared outside the family. The Student keeps full ownership of their own work, including personal statements, test answers, portfolios, academic CVs and interview notes.
4.2 Confidentiality. We, the Client and the Parent will keep confidential any personal, strategic or sensitive information shared while we provide the services.
4.3 Your data. We handle personal data in line with UK data protection law and our
Privacy Policy.
4.4 Session recordings. We record online sessions so the Student can use them, for example to revise. We may also review a recording to check the quality of our service, to look into a complaint, or if there is a safeguarding concern. We will not use recordings for staff training or marketing, or publish them. Recordings are deleted when the Student completes their programme. Recordings may not be published or shared outside the family.
4.5 Direct contact with consultants. The Client, the Parent and the Student agree not to contact or engage any of our consultants or mentors directly, outside sessions arranged through Quantum Pathways. The Parent will make sure the Student keeps to this. See clause 6.2.
5. Outcomes and liability
5.1 No guarantee of admission. We do not guarantee admission to any university, college or course.
5.2 The Student's part. Results depend on the Student's engagement. We are not responsible for a deadline missed because the Student did not attend sessions, complete work or share information we asked for.
5.3 Limit of liability. Our total liability under the agreement is limited to the fees received. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
5.4 Your legal rights. Where the Client is a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including your right to services performed with reasonable care and skill.
5.5 Online platforms. We are not responsible for outages of third-party platforms used to deliver sessions. If a session cannot take place because of one, we will reschedule it at no cost.
6. Ending the agreement, changes, complaints and law
6.1 Ending by you. You may cancel within the cooling-off period under clause 2.3. After that, you may end the agreement at any time by writing to us. Refunds are as set out in clause 2.5.
6.2 Ending by us. We may end the agreement by written notice if the Client, the Parent or the Student seriously or repeatedly breaks it, including by not paying fees when due or by contacting our consultants directly against clause 4.5. If we do, we will refund the fees received for sessions not yet delivered.
6.3 Ending immediately, without refund. We may end the agreement immediately, without any refund, if the Client, the Parent or the Student behaves in an abusive, threatening or discriminatory way towards our staff or consultants, or if continuing would put the Student or our staff at risk of harm.
6.4 Changes to these terms. Any change to these terms applies only to services bought after the change, unless you agree to it in writing.
6.5 Complaints. If you are unhappy with our services, please email info@quantumpathways.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. Both sides will try to settle any dispute this way before starting legal proceedings.
6.6 Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If the Client is a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, they may also bring proceedings in their local courts.
6.7 Whole agreement. The signed agreement, together with the Student's written proposal or Pathway Plan, is the whole agreement between us about the services.
